|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-07-00350Scrappy (male)|
Scrappy is a sweet and sassy little senior dog with almost no teeth due to a dental with many tooth extractions due to decay. He loves to whine and sing you the song of his people. He's about 10 years old and weighs about 15 lb, but is on the thin side due to thyroid issues. He definitely loves to eat and must be fed separately. Recommended for an adults only home and would probably prefer to be the only pet. For adopters who already have dogs: Scrappy is in a foster home that had two dogs there before him and he's fine with those dogs. But any new dogs we try to put in that foster home, he treats badly. So it's possible he might be able to live with dogs you already have, but adopting another dog after him might not be a good idea. Just in case anyone with existing dogs is considering him... -------------------------------------------------------- Rescue or adoption needed. We adopt to MD, PA, NJ, NY, or CT and can transport to northeastern states. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org (Less)

Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in West Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
