This is Daphne!! She's the sweetest little dog, a great companion! Unfortunately my ex left her and I'm unable to provide her with the home she needs as I'm gone at work 10 hours a day and am living in a small apartment that doesn't allow pets. She's very good with people and children. She's a great little companion dog.

Rescue Me ID: 18-06-11-00177  (female)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sweet pair Bailey and Ricky are looking for a forever home together! Bailey is an adorable, affectionate two year old Dachshund/Beagle mix. This little girl's loves are people, kisses, squeaker toys, food and her adopted brother, Ricky. Bailey has found herself in need of a new home after her family moved and their initial plan for her new home fell through at the last minute. They asked Wonder Pets to help them find a new home, and we are happy to help! Bailey has been well-loved her whole life and shows it. Unfortunately, she has over-indulged and stolen Ricky's food a few too many times and finds herself in need of a sensible diet ... (Read More)and exercise program to reach a more healthy weight. The good side of this is that she absolutely LOVES to go for walks, almost as much as give kisses and snuggles. Bailey has been used to having free access to a doggy door and therefore does not have much practice in asking her people to let her out to go potty. She does pretty well going out on her own, though, when she has access to a doggy door. Bailey loves her adopted older brother, Ricky, and would really love to go to a home that has room in their hearts for both of them together. Bailey sleeps well in a crate all night with Ricky and snuggles with him whenever she gets a chance. Her previous family has stated that she loves children and would do great in a home with children or where children can visit regularly and play with her. Bailey is microchipped, spayed, up to date on wormed, bordatella, and routine and rabies vaccinations. She is excited to meet you and give you loves and kisses, too! Bailey does well with cats and other dogs, too, after proper introductions. Ricky is a loving, distinguished six and a half year old Beagle mix (maybe Beagle / Chihuahua). This little boy loves people, 'putzing' around in the yard and his adopted sister, Bailey. Ricky has found himself in need of a new home after his family moved and their initial plan for his new home fell through at the last minute. They asked Wonder Pets to help them find a new home, and we are happy to help! Ricky has been well-loved his whole life and shows it with his calm and loving demeanor. Unfortunately, he has over-indulged a little in the past and finds himself in need of a sensible diet and exercise program to reach a more healthy weight. The good side of this is that he enjoys walks a lot, almost as much as snuggling on the couch and getting neck scratches. Ricky has been used to having free access to a doggy door and therefore does not have much practice in asking his people to let him out to go potty. He does pretty well going out on his own, though, when he has access to a doggy door (he may need some patience and reminders at first when in a new home). Ricky loves his adopted younger sister, Bailey, and would really love to go to a home that has room in their hearts for both of them together. Ricky sleeps well in a crate all night with Bailey and snuggles with her whenever he gets a chance. His previous family has stated that he loves children and would do great in a home with children or where children can visit regularly and play with him. Ricky is microchipped, neutered, up to date on wormer, bordatella, and routine and rabies vaccinations. She is excited to meet you and give you loves and kisses, too! Ricky does well with cats and other dogs, too, after proper introductions. The adoption donation for both Ricky & Bailey as a pair is $450. Rescue Me ID: 18-06-11-00026Julian (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Meet Julian... a big dog in a little body. He is a very friendly, social, active boy so he'd do best with an active family. He is almost 1yr old and weighs about 10lbs. Julian gets along great with all other dogs, although when first meeting he can be a bit bossy. He would do best with another, easy going, playful dog in the home. Because he can sometimes be a bit dominant when first meeting other dogs, an experienced owner is a must. He will also 'alert' bark so it's best that he live in a home with a fenced backyard. He walks great on a leash and he rides just fine in the car. He is also fully crate trained and house trained.

Lois female 2 years old 6.8lbs mix Look at this gorgeous sweet little lady! Lois' story is of such great pain and sadness until now. Lois was in a death camp of a shelter in Korea, and she gave birth to 5 puppies. The Korean Rescue stepped in and got everyone out to save their lives and give them a chance at life. But, 4 of the babies could not be saved & they lost their lives. This is extremely dreadful and the reality here of this situation. It shows the ... (Read More)dedication of the Korean rescue. We are beyond extremely grateful to the Korean Rescue who tirelessly save these precious souls lives such as Mong Mong (who is also looking for his forever home), and his mum Lois. Lois is now a US citizen & looking for her loving forever home, she is 6.8 lbs Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, we believe. She was spayed here by our amazing vet by laser, chipped, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative & dewormed 3 times. This little lady is in a foster home, loves people and other dogs, and can only go to a home with other dogs present in the home with someone home. Once she warms up to you she is one of the sweetest, loving, and calm little ladies you will ever meet. She also likes to play with her baby Mong Mong, and definitely needs a backyard as she enjoys running around the backyard with the freedom. A fenced yard is a must. She will absolutely need work on potty training, as do all of our beautiful rescues, but Lois has been working on going on potty pads and outside in her foster home. Lois is good with cats and children who are respectful to animals. We will only be accepting applications who meet all of the requirements for Lois. It's time for Lois to find her new forever home & can only go to a home with other dogs present in the home, someone who will work with her on potty training like all of her doggy friends & love & cherish her. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Lois & have read her listing fully to the end & going through our process of your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed with a meet & greet if it's a good fit with our discretion. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Lois has an adoption fee of $600 & is ready to go to her forever family. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life. This truly is a life and death matter for these precious souls. Thank you for your understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Adoption Process All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com. PIease Read Before Adopting a Dachshund in Washington
Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.

lnteresting Dachshund Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Dachshunds are often referred to as wiener dogs because of their shape.
