Dachshund Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

Tessa is 8-9 years old and has lost the use of her back legs. She's had a skin condition since she was young. My wife and I both work full time and Tessa isn't able to move around for up to 12 hours a day. I don't want to put her down because she seems to still have plenty of life left in her. If she could go to a home where she can get around with wheels, that would be great. Thank you!

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-14-00606Ellie (female)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sweet little Ellie is a spaniel/papillon, with a little dachshund in the mix. She's a very friendly girl that loves everyone she meets, so she'd be a great family dog. She is only about 1yr old ad weighs about 12lbs. She's very energetic sou would be a great hiking partner. She gets along great with other dogs and because of level of energy, another playmate in the home would be ideal. She is still young and loves to be with her people so leaving her for no more than 4-5 he intervals would be best. She does not like kitties so no cats in the home.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-20-00121Jimmy (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Jimmy... a very sweet, 10ish yr old, 13lb boy just looking for his own forever bed. He's a very easy going boy that prefers to just sit back and watch the goings on with the kids and other animals. He doesn't need to be in the middle of the playtime, but definitely prefers to live in a home with lots of activity. He most likely has always lived outside so it would be best if he had a doggy door from which he could go in and out as needed. Jimmy is almost completely toothless (he does have one molar) so his little tongue will sometimes stick out the side of his mouth just a bit, as if he's in deep thought... adorable!! This ... (Read More)certainly doesn't stop him from eating! Jimmy loves to wander around the yard or just bask in the sun so a fenced yard is needed.. Jimmy loves people and get along great with dogs and cats... but he does not like being kenneled so when left home alone with the others, a pen is best. Jimmy also has a slight limp with his rear left leg from an old injury... but this does not stop him from exploring all that he can. (Less)
