Rescue Me ID: 17-03-06-00234Lady (female)

Dachshund    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

This pretty little lady is, well, Lady! Aptly named, she is a gorgeous miniature long-haired piebald-coated dapple dachshund and a senior sweetie at 13 years young. As is often the case with dapple dachshunds, Lady is profoundly deaf and blind in her right eye since birth. But she more than makes up for any challenges by being absolutely adorable AND this little lady has spunk! She is a fast study, adapting well to new surroundings and routines and learns your signs and mannerisms quickly. Lady loves her walks and is usually running ahead and leading the pack!! She is also happy just to explore the yard. But her favorite spot is either next ... (Read More)to you, on your lap or in your arms. Her tail never stops wagging and she has this wonderful way of staring deeply into your eyes just before she covers your face with kisses! She has always lived in a home, but her family recently moved and was unable to take her with them. Lady is living in a foster home with 3 other dogs and gets along well with all of them. She is house-trained, spayed and up-to-date on shots. Lady will make a wonderful companion for someone without small children who might hurt or scare her, who is home most of the day and has lots of time for a total cuddle-bug. If you are that special someone, Lady is ready and waiting to claim your heart. Please email sherry@waaag.org if you would like to meet Lady. (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rico is the most interesting combination! We think he is a German Shorthair Pointer/Dachshund mix. He is about 5 yrs old and is neutered and ready to go. He is timid around new people and needs to be given time to adjust. He probably would not do well around children. Please email us at SOSPetRescue@yahoo.com if you are interested in adopting this interesting looking fellow or one of our other available dogs!!
