Belle is a quiet, sweet girl who would do well as an only dog but also with other dogs or cats. She is a Dachshund/Feist mix who is only a little over 2 years old and currently weighs 35 pounds, a little over weight but we're working on that. Belle is house trained, crate trained and leash trained, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is fairly low energy and enjoys leisurely walks and snuggling. Our adoption fee is $125 and we do have an application process to insure that the adoption is a good fit for you and for her. Please let us know if you'd like to meet this sweet girl!

My name is Jazz. I am about 9 years young. I am mostly dachshund with a little something else the vet says. When you look up dachshunds I am liver colored and white (piebald dapple) long haired. I still have lots of energy and love to run squirrels and rabbits. I only bark when someone knocks on door or rings doorbell. I love to ride in the car. I am not a lap dog unless you invite me to join you. I sleep in my own bed. I am housebroken and know how to wear a leash. I like long walks and short baths. I am friendly with other dogs outside of my home but I prefer to be the Queen of my Castle. My family has to move and can't take me ... (Read More)with them.....could I be your new BFF? (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Poor sweet Marley was left behind with her siblings when her owners moved away and abandoned her. The mailman found her and brought her to us to find a wonderful home for this sweet girl. Marley is not sure about children, so we think a home without children would be best for her. She is good with people and other dogs. Marley is working on house training. She is leash trained and loves to cuddle with her people. I say she is a cuddle bug. We think she is a 2 year old wire hair dachshund mix and around 30 pounds. She is fully vaccinated and ready to find a forever home.

Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
