Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Wave and smile at Rory dog! This handsome 2 year old pug dachshund mix is a real sweetheart. Rory recently underwent a bilateral ear canal removal due to chronic ear infections which had made him deaf. However, this has only enhanced his go getting and fun loving nature. He loves snuggles but can also be very independent. He prefers just to hangout with the folks he loves and trusts. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys rough housing with other outgoing pups his size. He has been exposed to kitties and respects their space. He would probably do best in a home with older children who can respect the time it takes to develop a ... (Read More)trusting relationship with a new dog. But once you do, he'll be a young man or woman's best friend! If you're interested in Rory request an application at puplandiadogrescue@gmail.com and please put his name in the subject line. Applications only considered for the Portland Metropolitan area. (Less)

Animal ID: Mr ErnieMr Ernie (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Mange (Demodectic),
 Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

www.missgabriel.org/ernie.html www.facebook.com/MrErnie2016 Meet Mr Ernie. He is 8 months young Chihuahua/Shorthaired Dachshund/Miniature Poodle/Pomeranian mix whose interests include exploring, walking, cuddling and chewing on toys. He loves having toys to play with, so his new home will need to provide him with his own toys, bones, playtime, and some training to keep his mind and body healthy. This boy is house trained, somewhat leashed trained, has basic commands down, he gets along with most adults and most children. He likes to sleep with his human or near them. He has a low prey drive and is curious about cats but not enough to say ... (Read More)hi to them. Ernie likes to cuddle with you or lay down with you, wherever you may be or whatever you may be doing. He is a sweet dog even if he seems shy at first. Public places are not his favorite outings. Mr Ernie will want to be the boss if he is allowed so we recommend a strong leader to keep correcting this. Ernie will be happiest when he can be a part of his person's daily activities. His family will need to be sure that Ernie feels like he is part of a close knit group. He is neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated, licensed and a complete health workup. Mr Ernie is still growing his fur on his body from the neglect he was rescued from. We have found lamb, duck and salmon work well for him or many of the limited ingredient foods. He will go home with his new family with all his medical records and DNA test results. Are you looking to add a confident, silly, handsome, smart boy to your family? What about a social companion ready for adventures with you? Come see Mr Ernie! He is available for adoption through the Miss Gabriel Foundation. A $250 Adoption fee applies. This includes: Spay/Neuter Microchip Dog License Current All Vaccinations Current Heart Worm Prevention Current Flea/Tick Prevention Current De-wormed DNA Test Result Package Complimentary Wellness Exam Complimentary Dog Training Lesson (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-02-00536Tavi (female)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Senior

Little Tavi wants a nice place to lay her head! Tavi is a 15 year old spayed female. Her breed mix is a mistery as she weighs in at only 15 lbs! She is the sweetest little girl in the world however her eyes have seen better days. We would prefer her to go to a home without young children or at least seperate her from them if they come over. Fast movements make her very nervous and we don't want that for her or for a child to be bit. Tavi needs a wonderful home until she is ready to cross that rainbow bridge; she is in very good shape for her age! Please help Tavi find a great home!
