Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

To approved home. I adopted Gracie when she was only 9 weeks old, it breaks my heart to have to re-home her. She has a fantastic personality, sleeps in our bed every night, is potty trained and stays in the house(un-kenneled) all day while we are at work. She has a lot of energy when she has something to do but is very mellow and prefers to lay in your lap ALL THE TIME. She also likes to press her head against your face and expects to get kisses in return! We bought a kennel for her that she will get to keep, but she only uses it when she wants a treat! I have spoiled her and treated her like my child, I really want to find someone ... (Read More)that will do the same. If you have questions I will be happy to answer them! We did meet her mother during the adoption and are certain she is part wire haired dachshund, she weighs 25 pounds. (Less)

lnteresting Dachshund Trivia Low-Cost Oregon Spay & Neuter Clinics
Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Dachshunds are often referred to as wiener dogs because of their shape. Queen Victoria was fond of Dachshunds.
