Rescue Me ID: 15-04-28-00413Noelle (female)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Noelle is an adorable young dachshund mix. She had a tough start in life, as a stray in California, where she became pregnant during what the vet thinks was probably her first heat. She is probably between 1 and 2 years old now. She was picked up by a high kill shelter, but was thankfully was rescued and brought to Portland. This was extremely lucky, because during her delivery, one of the puppies got stuck in the birth canal, so Noelle had to have an emergency C-section, which the shelter would not have paid for. But you'd never know she'd been through so much, she is an extremely happy, playful girl, who loves to make friends with ... (Read More)everyone. She definitely still has plenty of puppy qualities; she will play with her toys for hours, and then suddenly fall fast asleep. She loves snuggles and attention, and will happily give you kisses. She gets along great with other dogs she is introduced to, and has become best buddies with my dog. They love to wrestle and chase each other in the park, then snuggle on the couch once they've worn each other out. She has also tried very enthusiastically to be friends with my two cats, although the cats aren't so sure how they feel about this! We've met plenty of people out on walks, and she is happy to meet everyone, and is very gentle with children. I've noticed that she has started to get protective over me during walks when she sees other dogs, but once she's at the dog park playing, she's fine. I think she would do best in a home with t least one other dog that she can be friends with. She is spayed and completely up to date on her vaccines. I crate trained her, so she is housebroken now, and is quickly learning basic commands like sit and come, and she will happily sit up on her hind legs to beg for treats (if you give her anything chewy, she's in heaven). She is an absolute sweetheart, and after what she's been through, deserves a loving forever home. All of her puppies have found homes, and now it's her turn. Could you be her new family? Please contact me at doggykittyfoster@gmail.com if you would like to meet her. I am in the Foster-Powell district in Portland. (Less)

Zoey is a Chiweenie mixed with some kind of small terrier like a Cairn or Yorkie. Her BFF is Phoebe who is a Chihuahua Lab mix pup who is a little older than Zoey. Both pups are under a year old. We would like the girls to go together because they have bonded at their foster home and are so happy together, we hope someone will fall in love with their unique crosses and take them both. The adoption fee listed is for the two girls together and is discounted. They are currently in SoCal but can travel to Oregon or Washington for adoption. Contact me for your application. Thank you!

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Simon (white and brown) is an adult chihuahua male, possibly the dad to Chuckie (All brown chiweenie). He is a shy little love bug who leans on Chuckie for some confidence. I am willing to reduce their adoption fee in order to keep them together as they compliment each other and rely on each other as well. They are good with other dogs with proper intro and most cats although Chuckie may chase them for fun. They were abandoned in their owner's back yard when they moved.
