Buddy needs a new home. He was my Mom's dog until she passed away last week. Buddy loves to sit on your lap, is a great companion for an older person who is home all the time. Buddy is a bit overweight but we have been working on that. He is very sweet and a bit lost without Mom. Buddy has lived with another dog, but does best as the only dog, he tends to take on the habits of those more dominant.

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-01-00415Stetch (male)

Dachshund    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Stetch is a very loving, energetic dog! He would be perfect in a home where he can be the center of someone's world. He loves to sit on your lap or be by your side as much as possible. He lives for human interaction! He does great with other dogs once he is used to them, but can get overly excited at first which tends to make him a bit 'nippy' (only with dogs, he will just lick people to death!). Stetch has been with me since he was a baby and as a single mom to a two year old, I am no longer able to give him the attention he really needs. I would love to find him a good, caring home for with someone who can give him as much love and ... (Read More)attention as he deserves. He is a very sweet dog who just wants to be loved! (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

This adorable guy is SO sweet! When we got him he was very underweight, but he has since gained weight and is very healthy. He has long cream colored fur. He is fixed, and has his rabies shot. We didn't know if had his vaccinations, so we have given him his first two sets. He does well with our two other dogs, and is wonderful with OUR children (7,9,12). He takes a while to warm up to strangers, but the more time we have him the better he does. He does very well in a kennel and is learning to walk on a leash. He is potty trained and has been accident free for a while. He needs a quiet home with someone who loves a snuggle bug. He needs ... (Read More)someone who is firm. No young children please. More pictures available. (Less)
