Animal ID: DeltaBaby Girl (female)
Baby Girl is one cutie boo-tootie. She does have a lot of energy so she may not be good for an older person. She loves to lavish you with kisses, loves to play with her toys, her friends and most of all, she loves to sit near you. All she wants out of life is a good warm bed & blanket, toys, good food and most of all, love, love, love. If Baby Girl catches your eye, please email pepperten@metrocast. net for an application. PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE EMAILING US: Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area or mine. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups in person prior to their adoption. The dogs are brought up north from various southern states on a USDA transporter whose web site is www.gotransporters.com and beginning every Friday morning through the last delivery on Sunday afternoon you can follow the transporter on Facebook by logging onto their site at www.facebook.com and go to the search bar and type in Got Orphans Transport. This is a fun way to see all of the dogs and pups and perhaps even see your own as they travel to their forever homes. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 11-09-11-00023Franky (male)
Franky is a mini smoothcoat dachshund. We've him since he was a puppy - we got him from a breeder in New Jersey. He weights approx. 14 lbs. He has no health issues, but we do have him on a strict diet - we feed him Science Diet ID food - cost approx. $45 - $50 a bag for a 16 lb bag - and is only available through the vet. He loves carrots, sting beans - most fruits & veggies. He's a barker for sure. He's very protective - especially when someone walks in the house or is around you. He's a pretty low maintenance dog, but the best situation would be for him to go to a family a family without kids. The reason why we are looking for a new family for our baby is due to our personal situation - our jobs are forcing us to travel alot which isn't fair to Franky. He spends alot of time alone. As much as we want to keep him, we know he needs to find someone who can give him much love and attention he needs. Franky has another dachshund companion - Sammy - he's a wirehair dachshund, and we would like to find a home for both of them together if possible. Looking for a family around Northern New England area (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 11-09-11-00022Sammy (male)
Sammy is a wirehair dachshund. We've him since he was a puppy - we got him from a rescue. He weights approx. 13lbs - he's has pancreatitis has not had any issues for well over 3 years, but is on a strict diet - he needs special Science Diet food - cost approx. $45 - $50 for a 16 lb bag - only available through the vet. He loves carrots, sting beans - most fruits & veggies. He's a barker for sure, and loves to go after dogs bigger than him. Sammy needs alot of love an attention - loves to be held, have his tummy scratched, etc. The best situation for him would be someone who can give him attention - potentially someone who is home most of the time. He does pretty well with kids too. He also really can't be with any other pets in the house hold. The reason why we are looking for a new family for our baby is due to our personal situation - we both travel alot of work and Sammy spends alot of time alone. As much as we want to keep him, we know he needs to find someone who can give him much love and attention he needs. Sammy has another dachshund companion - Franky - he's a smooth coat, and we would like to find a home for both of them together if possible. Looking for a family around Northern New England. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Dachshund in New Hampshire
Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in New Hampshire if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
