He's under 20 pounds and is neutered, completely vetted and microchipped. He's housebroke and crate trained for the most part but will need someone to show him the ropes once in a new environment. Dozer has been great with the other dogs and loves people, we're not sure if he's been around cats but that can always be tested. His adoption fee is $350 with an approved application (plus the fee towards gas for any home visit/possible adoption) There is more information on the adoption application.     Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Queen Victoria was fond of Dachshunds.
