Frank is the sweetest dog! He is around 9 years old. He's an excellent snuggler and is very obedient. We just found out that our son is allergic to dogs so we can't keep him and want to find a loving home for this special member of our family. We have food, crate, dog bowls, leashes etc.

|Rescue Me ID: 17-05-19-00423Duke (male)|
[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Duke is a 13 year old purebred Mini Dachshund that was surrendered by his owner. He is neutered and up to date on everything. Duke suffered a ruptured disc several years ago which left him with a wobbly gait and some (stool) incontinence. He is housebroken and will go the door to be let out but unfortunately he does not have very good control of his bowels. He needs to wear a diaper to prevent accidents. Duke is very loving and affectionate and likes to be with his people all the time. He get along fine with other dogs but we are not sure about cats. He was very upset about losing his previous owner so we are looking for a very stable, loving and patient family or individual for him. If you would like to open up your heart and home to this sweet special needs boy please contact us as soon as possible. Duke's current foster mom can't keep him much longer. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-04-26-00221Belle (female)|
Meet Belle. She was abandoned in an apartment for over a week, before the new people who moved in and discovered her hiding. She is a very sweet dog, but she is very shy. She loves to play and go on walks, but she is not house broke yet so she will need some training. She loves other dogs and other animals. Older children would be better for her. A fenced-in yard would keep her safe. Anyone interested in Bell please contact Pawsabilities at 517-652-9353.

Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
