Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

Ema is a lovely girl. She is a rescue from Bosnia; she is an alpine dachsbracke an ancient breed. She is an even tempered girl who is looking for a home to call her own. Ema would need a home with an active person or couple. I would not recommend a family with children as Ema can sometimes jump up. She has gotten better at this but when she is excited she can jump. She walks like a pro on the leash. She is good in the dog stores and on the walk. She reacts at first to dogs but is easily redirected. She is learning how to ride in the car and is willing to ride in the front seat with a harness on. She is easy going and very affectionate. Ema ... lnteresting Dachshund Trivia Low-Cost Massachusetts Spay & Neuter Clinics
Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Dachshunds are often referred to as wiener dogs because of their shape. Queen Victoria was fond of Dachshunds.
