Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. Skittles is a sweet lovable boy who is always so happy. He loves walks and playing fetch. He barks at new people but is friendly none the less. He has a fairly strong ... He adapts quickly but will challenge dominant male dogs and engage in marking if any other dogs are marking!     London is a Dachshund/Jack Russel combination. He is a very smart dog and can do numerous tricks. He can be very sweet and obedient is a great lap dog. The issue we have is that he has never taken a liking to our 15 year old son. He continues to growl at him eventhough he has been with us for 3+ years. London likes most people but certain people will set hime off and he will become aggresive. He also likes most dogs but again certain dogs set him off and he can become aggresive. He would do best in a home with no other animals and no children.

Meet Ghost! Despite his name he is 100% real and 100% adorable. Ghost is a little guy at 8 lbs and 9 months old, but don't let the short legs fool you. He's very active and loves to play, go for walks, or go for hikes in the woods. He even has fun playing in the water at the beach! His favorite toys are paper towel rolls and acorns, and like any little kid he loves to play in the leaves. Back home after his adventures, Ghost is a lap, bed, or couch cuddler who'll give you kisses. He loves attention and contact, and he'd probably do best in a family where someone is home most of the time. Ghost loves other dogs and cats, especially ... (Read More)young cats that will play with him, and he's very affectionate with people he knows. He is slow to warm up to new people, though, and gets stressed if they try to push him too fast. It can take him a few hours or even a day or so to get completely comfortable with someone. His ideal home will understand this and let him get acquainted at his own pace. It's completely worth it to make friends with this little lovebug! If you are interested in finding out more about Ghost please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.brokentailrescue.org/adoption-application/ Ghost is being fostered in Bellingham and the adoption fee is $400. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. (Less)
