Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament

Merl is a sweet loving dog. He loves walks or just laying in your lap & loves a car ride. He's good with cats as his home had 4 of them and a 7yr old child who he loved to play fetch with. Merl lived in an apartment & his owners unforeseen later work hours left him lonely & his howling left them no choice but to put him up for adoption. He needs someone who's patient & can understand his heart break. He's up to date on shots & is used to being groomed at petco.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-31-00147HADEN (male)

Dachshund    Age: Senior

Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current, Blind

HADEN was an owner surrender due to his mums severe decline in health. We know little information about him until we get his paperwork, but he is approx 15-20 years old and he is BLIND. He has spent his life with two long-haired mini-dachshund brothers, RILEEY and JASPER who and so we do plan of finding a home who can keep these sweet boys together. HADEN weighs around 25 pounds. HADEN gets around just great and when he hears my voice, he comes to my direction and wags his tail, he does still play with the other dachshunds and is an all round happy boy. He was apparently trained to pee on paper, but I have been putting pee-pads down, that ... (Read More)he doesn't use, so I will be trying newspaper. We currently feed SPORTMIX Wholesomes Chicken Meal & Rice Formula, a 4* (a per www.dogfoodadvisor.com) GRAIN FREE food along with pro-bioitics and immune support supplements listed on the available dogs page! JASPER, RILEEY and HADEN are available for adoption together through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue. If you can give these senior boys the life that they deserve and the finances to be able to give them all care that they need, please contact us to discuss. If you are interested in adopting these precious souls, please complete and submit the adoption contract on our website. We ask for two personal references and a veterinary reference. It generally takes 2-3 days to process applications, as long as we are able to speak to your vet and references. http://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org RILEEY, JASPER and HADEN are located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located inbetween two small towns, Dover-Foxcroft and Milo, both approximately 6 miles away and the closest major city is Bangor (approx 45 miles). Many families travel and make a mini-vacation out of the trip and stay in beautiful Maine for the weekend, however, if this is not possible and there are options to arrange transport, we will work with you to make it happen.
