Rescue Me ID: 16-08-15-00107Caroline (female)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Caroline is looking for a family to love, and one who will love her back. She is an older girl, probably 8-10 yrs old, a beagle/doxie mix, about 30 lbs. We aren't sure how she ended up at a cold, scary shelter. Someone used her to make puppies, probably her whole life, then threw her away. This girl will not leave your side. She would be content to lie at your feet all day. Caroline is now spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. No more puppies for this girl!! She has no health issues that we can find. Her adoption fee is $100 to cover her vetting. Please email souldogrr@gmail.if you can give this girl a furever home.

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Reid. Oh my is this a cute little guy. He is a 1-year-old dachshund mix. His original owners were told he was part poodle. We kind of think he looks like a yorkie mix. Perhaps he is 1/2 doxie, 1/2 poodle/yorkie. The end result is that he is super cute and has hair that grows long and needs regular grooming. He is sporting the sleek look with blond tufts on top for his current look. Reid is always a little bashful when meeting new people and new things. He kind of just hangs out in the background doing his own thing until he is ready to say hi. Once he has gotten past his initial shyness, he's a regular guy wanting regular attention and ... (Read More)the opportunity for zoomies. Reid is great with other dogs. He's very playful and silly. He has also lived with an infant, kind of growing up together. He's wonderful with kids who give him that space he needs initially. He's never ever bitey; he just wants to take things slow. Reid is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is solidly housebroken and crate trained too. If you would like to give Reid a forever home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process and required prior to a meet and greet. Reid's adoption fee is $175. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-09-00337Chipper (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Chipper. 2 year old wire haired dachshund/terrier mix. 12 lbs. Neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped. Adoption fee $200.00 Due to the high volume of emails received, we recommend you visit our website and fill out an adoption application. This does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us determine if a certain dog is a good fit for your household. Adoption applications can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Thank you! Chipper is very high energy and is a bit leery of strangers. Due to his high energy, we believe a home with a doggie playmate would be best with a fenced yard so he can expend some of that ... lnteresting Dachshund Trivia Low-Cost Indiana Spay & Neuter Clinics
Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Dachshunds are often referred to as wiener dogs because of their shape. Queen Victoria was fond of Dachshunds.
