I rescued a dachshund from the cold about 3 weeks before Christmas. I brought him into my home and have tried finding his owners called local shelters and gave my information to see if someone was looking for him but no one has come forward. I cannot keep him. He is not good with children he has bit my son a few times. I really don't know much about him other than he is not good with other animals at all. I would love to find him a good loving home.

Canelo is a charmer. Particular in the company he keeps. He does need a warm up period and can be grumpy. He loves belly rubs and long walks. He would do great with a veteran or senior. Canelo likes cats but no kittens! He plays too rough with them. He like to play fetch with a little ball! He can be as sweet as he looks if you give him time to warm up to you. He will be protective too. If you know a lonely senior who needs a house trained companion please consider Canelo! Discounts are given to seniors and veterans.
