Dachshund Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Charlotte and I am looking for my Forever Home. I'm a six year old Dachshund Mix (my peeps are thinking I've got a wee bit of Jack Russell in me but, whatever!). I've only had one other owner-they weren't too attentive-didn't recognize my adoring, loyal and obedient qualities. I am potty trained (even in the snow!)-but, like any Doxie, if I'm alone too long, I might prefer a potty pad by the back door. I am good in a crate for a few hours when you're not home. When you get back, I'll 'sing' my happiness in seeing you again! I need a fenced yard-as in, at least a 4 foot fence, as my Foster Family only has a 24 inch fence which I ... (Read More)think is a gym class hurdle. I LOVE to know where you are and I LOVE to cuddle. I LOVE to be with people. I am super great on a leash as I love to go for walks-in any kind of weather. You should see me bound through the puddles and snow! My foster family has taught me how to sit for a treat and sit before being given my breakfast and dinner bowl. I have the most amazing hearing-NO ONE will sneak into your house without me knowing My fur is sooooo soft%BD'%BD| I will never object to anyone petting me. Anywhere. Any time. I smoothly hop up into the Human Bed with my foster sisters and snuggle in for a quiet night of sleeps. I would prefer to be the only dog of the house BUT I respond to human commands to be a fellow pack member with existing pups. I'm all up to date with that nice Vet man-including teeth cleaning! I can't wait to adopt my Forever Person. Could it be you? Please visit our website to fill out an application for me! (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Updated post: Still looking for a home for this boy. He has some serious behavioral issues and needs training, for this reason I have yet to find him a suitable place to go. The constant peeing on everything is something I cannot tolerate anymore. If I cant find a good home for him soon, I will have no choice but to take him to the pound, none of the no kill shelters in my area have openings. I've left messages with the humane society of Indianapolis and gotten no response. Every day he ruins something new by peeing all over it. Anything I place on the floor gets peed on. Anytime he is able to access my bedroom, he jumps on my bed and pees ... (Read More)on my pillows. This is driving me insane. Please someone take this dog. Original post: 2 year old mixed breed male, very sweet and loving dog. I've been his only owner, due to his excessive potty accidents and having children in the home, I cannot keep him any longer. I dont want to take him to a shelter, I just want to find a loving home for him. Please help (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

**Tilly is with a sister rescue, ABRA, Inc.** Tilly is a 27 pound doxy mix and is about 4 years old. Tilly has a BIG personality in a small package. Tilly is a very loving and happy girl and loves attention. She loves everyone she meets and is good with kids. She does well with other dogs that are submissive and on the calm/mellow side. Tilly would also do well as an only dog. Tilly is a smart girl and needs to have daily exercise. Tilly had separation anxiety when she arrived with ABRA. However, after work in her foster home she is much better. As long as she gets her daily exercise she is fine. Tilly would do well in a big family as she ... (Read More)loves attention!
