Madchen has lived with her owner since she was a puppy. She is now ten years old and seven years ago Greta, came to live with them. Their owner has recently had a decline in health and she is not longer to live independently and care for them. Her friends and family cannot take them permanently. Madchen is very friendly I took both of them to the vet for a wellness check and they are both in great shape and would be a good addition to any household.

Fiesty 10 year old girl (acts like she's 2!) Junie is sweet, friendly and active. She gets along with other dogs. She belonged to my mother-in-law who has severe dementia and is now in a facility. We live in a small apartment and cannot have her. Junie just wants to cuddle and sleep under the covers. She would do best in a home with other dog friends.

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-14-00460Bailey (male)

Dachshund    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Say hello to Bailey. He is a 10 year old, 19 pound, long haired dachshund. But don't let his age fool you. He still loves to go on walks, run around, and play with other dogs. This lovely boy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after his former guardian could no longer care for him. Bailey is one of the friendliest and gentle souls you will ever meet. When we first met Bailey he came waddling over with a happy tail in full wag. When we walked out to the car he hopped right in and jumped right onto his foster moms lap with the biggest doggie grin. Be warned that he has a goofy look that makes I very hard to not grin ... (Read More)right back at him! Due to cheap food and no routine dental maintenance Baily has almost no teeth left so his tongue hangs about an inch out of the side of his mouth 90% of the time. Bailey can really fulfill the needs of almost any household. He is great with kids, house trained, doesn't get car sick, and is fine in a crate when you're not home. As far as special needs go he does have a history of bladder stones. This can usually be counteracted by having him on a special diet and making sure he is drinking plenty of water though. Other than that he seems to be quite healthy. Bailey is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Bailey has also had senior blood work done and he is fit as a fiddle. If are you looking for a sweet, active and happy companion Bailey might just be the one. If you are interested in Bailey please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $50 adoption fee for Bailey (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-08-00256Bow (female)

Dachshund    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Lady Bow is a 12 pound, 11 year-old, long-haired dachshund, and is the sweetest dog imaginable. She came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after she found herself in a local shelter when her human could no longer care for her. A shelter is no place for a Lady so she came to live in a foster home with Fuzzy Pawz. This lovely girl could not be any more loving; she wants to be in right beside her person to cuddle and be pet and she loves to give kisses. But she is not a pest, always demanding attention. And don't let her age discourage you. She is very active and happy go lucky. Lady Bow is house broken, is learning to use ... (Read More)the dog door, and walks fairly well on leash although she will pull a bit when first starting off. She loves to ride in the car and look out the window. Lady Bow is very treat motivated, so what she doesn't know already, she learns very quickly. She's already learned to sit nicely for her treat. The girl gets along very well with other dogs. We don't know about cats, although as calm is she is, she might be fine with a proper introduction. We also don't know about children, but since she never met a stranger, she would probably love them as long as they were respectful. Due to ladies age we will require no kids in the home under 5. Lady Bow has long, fine hair that will mat if not cared for. She needs regular brushing, and an occasional professional groom with a hair cut would be appropriate. She was very matted when she came to Fuzzy Pawz, so her hair is a little shorter now than it could be if you wanted it long and were willing to care for it. If you are looking for a lovely little girl who can offer a lifetime of love then Lady Bow is the one for you just fill out an application today at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and her foster parent will call you!! Lady Bow is microchipped, spayed and vaccinated. There is a $50 adoption fee for Lady Bow (Less)
