Pilgrim is a year old jack russell terrier with possibly a hint of dachshund. He is almost ten pounds. His story is someone left him and two other dogs in a house alone for nearly three weeks without food or water. Pilgrim was the only one that weathered the storm and survived. Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
