Willy was born with one eye but this doesn't slow him down one bit! Willy loves car rides and going for walks on his leash. Toots is crate trained and leash trained. He tolerates car rides well and has never gotten car sick on his occasional trip out of the yard or house. Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
