|Rescue Me ID: 15-04-05-00259Murdoch FAMILY BOY (male)|
This gorgeous boy seemed PERFECT IN EVERY WAY which made it that much sadder to see him on his last day in a high kill shelter in the south. How lucky a volunteer alerted us so that we could save him. This little guy is nothing but joy and pleasure. He is very affectionate with the people he has met including children, and loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He's the perfect size at about 28 lbs and 2 - 3 years old which makes him a great small house or apartment dog--but needs a home that won't be short on love and attention. We have given him his shots, worming and neuter so he is healthy and ready to come up north to go home. Full vetting and transport included in his $375 adoption fee. If you can find it in your heart and home to give Murdoch the family he deserves, please copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. We cannot be certain what his true mix is. (Less)

Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
