Meet Olliver and Sullivan! These two brothers are adorable little dachshund/terrier mixes. They just turned a year old in November! Both of the boys are funny little pups, and they love to play outside - Sullivan also gives very nice puppy kisses! Both the boys are good with other dogs and cats, and they are also good with older children. The boys can be separated to go to seperate homes - if you can tell them apart! To meet these little munchkins, please contact Southbury Animal Control.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-03-11-00100Chip (male)|
Chip is a cutie-pie, a friendly, happy dog who loves to play, and is being so patient while waiting for his very own home. He is two and a half years old, and weighs in at about 18 pounds. All four of his feet look like he's wearing perfect white socks. If it's true that that the 'eyes are the 'windows to the world', CHIP'S gorgeous, expressive and 'be my friend' eyes are the proof. If you've been wanting a small, adult dog, CHIP might be just the one for you. He is attentive, should be easy to train, walks well on a leash, and likes playing with other dogs. He also LOVES to cuddle, and would make a perfect companion for someone who wants a dog, but might not want the extra care required by a large dog -- a couple turns around your backyard and he's had all the exercise he needs. Chip has had his Rabies Vaccination, De-worming, and DHLPP Vaccination. He has also been neutered and has a Microchip if he was to get separated from you. Of course, we cannot be certain what his true mix is. The adoption fee for CHIP is $400 which includes all of the above and his transport up north. If you think you have found the boy you have been looking for, please copy and paste this link to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. |Rescue Me ID: 14-02-23-00074Max (male)|
Max is a combination of a great lap dog and a dog that loves his toys and to be played with. He can be somewhat protective when he is introduced to new faces after a few minutes he is comfortable. Max has the classic Chihuahua personality but a perfect size of 18 lbs.due to the Dachshund mix.

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Dachshund in Connecticut|
Dachshund Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Dachshund is a long, short-legged dog with a temperament similar to that of a terrier. Dachshunds are cheeky, playful, mischievous, and resistant to training or discipline. Dachshunds do well with older children. Dachshunds are well suited to apartment life but need exercise, and it is important that they not be overfed as this breed is prone to weight gain.
