Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

CISCO Can you see me smiling at you? That's because I am one of the cutest puppy boys in the whole big wide world! I am Cisco, a Long Haired Doxie mix, about nine months old and weighing about 12 pounds. I am such a good little boy... I'm house trained, neutered and ready for my new family. I have a wonderful Mom and Dad, who got me when I was 2 1/2 months old. They have loved me and spoiled me just like every puppy should be spoiled with lots of love. However, they are senior citizens and they kind of forgot how much energy little guys like me have. They are concerned that I need a younger family who will be able to take me on long walks, ... (Read More)play with me and not be worried about possibly tripping and falling when I am being a 'busy boy.' We have loved each other dearly and they are very sad but they think that I will be happier in a home with a more active family. If you have been looking for a very special little fur friend, then you have found me - Cisco! (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

His nickname is Brillo Pad because we believe his mix to be poodle/wire-haired dachshund and he feels like a soft brillo pad when you rub his fur :). He is an incredibly sweet little guy who will follow you everywhere you go - loves to be near his 'person'. He is a cuddler. He is well-mannered. He is housetrained - BUT - he does like to mark his territory and this is something that would hopefully be easy to deal with in his own home and not in a home where dogs are coming and going all the time. He truly is a love and would make someone a wonderful little companion.

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-31-00427Dobby Bobbins (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

If you don't understand the name, Dobby, ask your kids... or grandkids. (We'll spare you the photos that earned him the name.) This cute little buddy is gentle, polite, good-natured, and gets along with everybody. While he enjoys a good romp with his foster sibs, his absolute fav is curling up next to a warm human and snoozing through the night. Our best guess is that Dobby is a Manchester Terrier / Dachshund mix. He weighs just over 14 lbs, is probably 1.5 to 2 years old, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He's not 100% on the housetraining yet, but he's pretty darn close. To apply for Dobby, please submit ... lnteresting Dachshund Trivia Low-Cost Arkansas Spay & Neuter Clinics
Dachshunds are good travel companions. Dachshunds are named for Dachs, the German term for Badger, which these dogs were bred to hunt. The short legs of a Dachshund are well suited for digging and getting inside badger burrows. Dachshunds are often referred to as wiener dogs because of their shape. Queen Victoria was fond of Dachshunds.
