Dachshund    Age: Senior

Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Blind,
 Abused/Neglected

Alex (10-12 YO) and Nubbins (5-6 YO)are a Dachshund and Dachshund Mix. Our vet called after these two were taken from a squatter house and asked us to assist in placement (either to rescue or privately) to prevent them from being euthanized. Their history is relatively unknown but it is highly suspected they came from a neglectful home. They are both in need of vaccines and need to be altered. Alex has a mass on his abdomen and needs a dental as well. Any 501 (c)(3) interested can take them without a fee. Any private party MUST have a vet reference and have them spayed/neutered and vaccines handled before taking them. They are both ... (Read More)nervous around new people but incredibly sweet. Rescue Me ID: 17-06-26-00187Joey (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Joey is 2 years old, about 10lbs. He loves to swim and play outside. He also makes a great snuggle buddy for watching TV. He LOVES his toys, especially anything squeaky or that makes noise. He will fetch and even play fetch solo! He's neutered, fully vaccinated and dewormed and on Nexgard for fleas and Heartgard for heartworm prevention. He was rescued from a local high kill shelter. We had to pay $165 to pull him, which is more than our adoption fee is, and then we had to vet him, so if you'd like to make a donation to help with expenses, our paypal is southernchihuahua@hotmail.com
